Ferguson Retains Rangers Dream but Bologna Exit Never Close
Dundee United midfielder, Lewis Ferguson, has expressed his desire to return to his boyhood club, Rangers, while acknowledging that a move away from Bologna this summer remained "nothing was ever that close."
Despite reported interest from Rangers, Ferguson stated, "I have no doubt that Rangers is a fantastic club, and I would love to be part of it. However, my focus remains on Bologna for now."
Ferguson, who joined Bologna in 2020, revealed his ambitions for the future by adding, "I am still committed to Bologna and hope to help the team achieve success this season."
The 23-year-old's comments come as Rangers manager Steven Gerrard continues to search for midfield reinforcements for his squad.
Ferguson's potential return to Rangers would add another Scottish connection to the Ibrox squad, following the recent signings of Kyle Lafferty and Daniel Candeias.
