Italy’s national team manager and former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has publicly distanced himself from the club’s ongoing case involving 115 charges, Sky Sports News reported.
The 115 charges relate to alleged breaches of competition rules that Manchester City is currently defending. The club has stated that it possesses “irrefutable evidence” to demonstrate that it did not violate any regulations.
According to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, Mancini’s decision to separate himself from the matter reflects his role as Italy’s head coach rather than any involvement with the club’s legal proceedings.
Manchester City reiterated its confidence in the evidence it holds, insisting that the charges will be disproved and that the club has acted within the rules at all times.
Mancini, who managed Manchester City from 2009 to 2013 and led the team to a Premier League title, now focuses solely on his responsibilities with the Italian national side, leaving the club’s legal battle to its own legal team.
