England’s women’s rugby team will head to North America this month for a series of Test matches against Canada and the United States. The tour, which is part of the team’s preparation for upcoming international competitions, will see the squad travel across the continent to face two of the region’s top sides.
However, two-time World Cup winner Marlie Packer will not be part of the touring party. Packer, who has been a key figure in England’s recent successes, has opted to sit out the North American leg of the schedule.
England’s coaching staff have not yet announced a replacement for Packer, but the squad will still include a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talent. The Tests against Canada and the United States are scheduled to take place over the next few weeks.
With the tour set to provide valuable match experience, the England side aims to fine‑tune its performance ahead of the next major international fixture. The absence of Packer will be felt, but the team will look to maintain its competitive edge on the road.
