Aboubakar Nagida will not feature in the Indomitable Lions’ first‑leg clash against Namibia on 12 November, the first of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 27‑year‑old midfielder’s absence was confirmed by the Cameroon coaching staff ahead of the match in Windhoek. Nagida’s withdrawal leaves the squad without one of its key playmakers as it prepares to face the Namibian side.
While the reasons for the player’s omission were not disclosed, the decision will force the Lions’ selectors to adjust their line‑up for the upcoming fixture.
Cameroon will travel to Namibia to contest the opening leg of the two‑legged tie, with a return match scheduled for later in the month. The result will determine whether the Lions advance in the race for a berth at the 2027 tournament.
