The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced on Saturday that it has taken Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South‑West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, into custody.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest to TheCable, stating simply, “She is in our custody.” The agency did not disclose the exact location of the detention.
Tejuosho had been declared a wanted person by the EFCC in April, accused of obtaining money under false pretence. The anti‑graft agency said the allegations amounted to fraud.
At the time of the April notice, the EFCC identified Tejuosho as a Lagos State resident and listed her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja. The commission also urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the EFCC office or the nearest police station.
She remains in EFCC custody as the investigation into the alleged fraud continues.
