After a six‑year suspension, the 12th session of the Cameroon Business Forum (CBF) took place on 22 and 23 October 2026 in Douala, the country’s economic capital, re‑establishing the event as Cameroon’s primary public‑private dialogue platform.

The forum, which had not been held since 2020, returned to the calendar amid renewed efforts to foster cooperation between the government and the private sector. Its revival signals a commitment to reviving structured discussions on the nation’s business environment.

Organisers describe the CBF as a meeting point for business leaders, investors and government officials to exchange views on investment climate, trade opportunities and economic development strategies. The two‑day programme is intended to generate concrete proposals for improving the operating environment.

Douala, Cameroon’s largest city and commercial hub, has long hosted major trade fairs and serves as a gateway for regional commerce in Central Africa. The city’s infrastructure and port facilities make it a natural venue for a forum focused on business and investment.

Stakeholders hope that the resumed forum will reinvigorate partnerships, attract both domestic and foreign investment, and cement Douala’s role as the nerve centre of public‑private dialogue in Cameroon.
