Social media personality Gehgeh has publicly rebuked comedian Real Warri Pikin over a viral clip in which the latter appeared to interact with singer Timaya. The exchange, which has attracted attention across Nigerian online platforms, centers on a video that Gehgeh claims is a “direct attack on the ego of your husband.”
In a statement posted to his own channel, Gehgeh said, “It’s a big shame. Real Warri Pikin, you need advice. I am giving you 24 hours to delete that video from your platform and apologise to Nigerians because that video is a direct attack on the ego of your husband.” The critic added that he would step in on the husband’s behalf if the comedian failed to respond.
“If he won’t talk, I will speak for him,” Gehgeh said.
Gehgeh also referenced Timaya’s involvement, noting that the singer would not tolerate a similar situation involving his own wife. “Even the Timaya that you did that thing with on stage won’t allow anybody to touch his wife like that, and that’s one of the reasons why he is afraid of getting married,” he added.
The dispute highlights the growing influence of social media personalities in Nigerian entertainment, as public figures increasingly use digital platforms to address perceived slights and demand accountability.
