The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has continued its rollout of awards recognizing the continent’s top football figures across various categories. Following the recent ceremony that honoured women’s football contributors, the organization turned its focus to the male coaching sector.
In the latest announcement, CAF released a ranking of the ten best African national team coaches. The list highlights the coaches who have been judged to have delivered the most notable performances and achievements over the past season.
Cameroon’s David Pagou, who has been a prominent figure in the country’s football scene, was not included among the ten coaches named by CAF. His absence from the shortlist was noted by observers of the awards.
CAF’s awards programme aims to celebrate excellence throughout African football, covering both men’s and women’s competitions and recognizing players, coaches, officials and other contributors.
The full list of the top ten coaches, as well as the criteria used for selection, were published by CAF in a press release accompanying the announcement.
