FC Porto striker Danny Namaso has confirmed that his ambition to play for the Cameroon national team has been a constant since the early days of his career.
Having recently been called up to the Lions indomptables, Namaso said the decision to join the squad was a natural step for a player who has always felt a strong connection to his homeland.
« Je voulais jouer pour le Cameroun depuis le début », Namaso told Actu Cameroun.
Cameroon, a West African nation with a rich footballing tradition, has long been a source of pride for players of Cameroonian descent around the world.
With his inclusion in the national side, Namaso will now be able to bring his experience from Portugal’s top club to the international stage.
