The dispute centers on Plot 4022 in Guzape, Abuja, a matter that has involved years of property disputes, petitions, and proceedings before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Isaac alleges that lawyers acting for Yesufu have taken the campaign into a "deeply troubling territory" by petitioning Nigerian authorities concerning her passport, raising questions about why a land claim would necessitate scrutiny of her citizenship status.
According to Isaac, the campaign against her passport involved the presentation of what she describes as false and fabricated travel records. She claims the petitioners asserted that she had recently traveled to London and Dubai, despite her statement that she last visited Dubai in 2022 and has not been to London in over five years. Isaac further alleges that images and details of her international passport were published online and circulated publicly, exposing sensitive personal information and creating risks of identity theft, impersonation, and financial fraud.
In her letter, Isaac argues that Yesufu’s age does not automatically validate her title or exempt her claimed transactions from investigation. She notes that her counter-petition specifically requests that investigators examine how Yesufu claims to have acquired the property through an intermediary named Kabiru Yaro. This includes demands for the production of agreements, banking evidence, witnesses, and original documents to verify the chain of title.
Isaac also highlighted concerns regarding the root of the title, citing material from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). She stated that Amina Musa Usman, presented as the original allottee, reportedly could not be traced or independently verified. Isaac urged authorities to obtain the complete ICPC investigation file to establish these findings conclusively, questioning why the title chain is not being investigated with the same intensity directed at her.
