In a ceremony held in Calabar, the World Harvest Bible College & Seminary celebrated the graduation of more than 100 pastors and ministry leaders from its Class of 2026. The cohort included students who completed Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor of Arts in Theology and postgraduate programmes.
Provost Rev. Dr. Daniel Ukene said the graduates had been examined and found worthy in both learning and character. He highlighted four major strides made during the 2025/2026 session: the establishment of a Directorate of Academic Planning for quality assurance and accreditation, the securing of government approval for a campus health facility, a significant increase in staff strength, and approval from the affiliate University of Calabar (UNICAL) to offer additional diploma programmes.
“These achievements are indicators of our steady growth towards becoming a centre of excellence in theological education,” Ukene said. He urged the new pastors to remain faithful to the Word, to character and to the mission, noting that “Nigeria needs faithful shepherds, not just eloquent preachers.”
Pastor Joseph Okoro, a guest speaker, urged the graduates to live out their faith beyond the pulpit as they minister in a society faced with economic hardship and changing values.
Speaking on behalf of the class, Mrs. Kathryn Godswill Emmanuel described the training as a call to transform lives.
