Bill Gates testimony on Jeffrey Epstein ties released by House oversight panel

A transcript of the testimony that Bill Gates gave to a House committee about his relationship with notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was released by the panel.
Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft, in his June 10 testimony, expressed regret about his contacts with Epstein, which he said were designed to win financial support for the Gates Foundation, his philanthropic venture.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee also on Tuesday released a transcript of the June 9 testimony by Epstein's former executive assistant, Lesley Groff.

Gates said he never saw Epstein participating in criminal conduct. Prosecutors have said the late money manager sexually abused scores of underage girls and young women.
Groff testified that she never saw any illegal conduct by Epstein, for whom she regularly scheduled what she said she believed were legitimate massages.
"Mr. Epstein was, in hindsight, a master manipulator and deceiver who separated his legitimate life from his secret life as an abuser," Groff said.
"For 18 years, I worked for Dr. Jekyll, but was never permitted to see the true Mr. Hyde," she said.
