American rapper Karim Kharbouch, better known as French Montana, said fatherhood has taught him the weight of financial responsibility in a recent interview with Capital Xtral London.
Montana, who shares a son with his estranged wife Deen Kharbouch, explained that being a father means paying for a range of expenses, from feeding and school fees to supporting the mother of the child.
He warned young men that they should not have children until they are financially stable, telling the outlet, “If you don’t have money to pay, don’t have a kid. It is better to wait until you are financially stable.”
In addition to his first son, the rapper is reportedly expecting another child with his fiancée, Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Montana’s comments highlight the importance of ensuring financial readiness before embarking on parenthood, a lesson he says has become clear through his own experience.
