Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 has entered its final stretch, with only 13 housemates remaining and just two weeks left before the grand finale. The countdown began after Sunday’s live eviction show saw Abi and Araga leave the competition, reducing the field and intensifying the race for the coveted final spots.
Abi’s eviction ended a campaign that saw her win Head of House twice – in Week 4 and Week 6 – and claim the Most Influential Player of the Week title during her stay. Speaking with host Ebuka Obi‑Uchendu after the eviction, she said she enjoyed her time in the House but found the experience overwhelming at moments, adding that she was not prepared to return to life outside the House and would not particularly miss her friendship with Flora and Oyin.
Araga was evicted shortly thereafter, concluding a seven‑week stint on the show. Reflecting on his time, he said he remained true to himself throughout the competition, though he struggled to find his footing in the early weeks. He credited fellow housemate Goddessa for helping him through that period and hinted that their relationship could develop further outside the House, adding that viewers should “expect the unexpected.”
Barry became the first housemate to secure a place in the grand finale after winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge. His victory granted him the power to save one housemate from possible eviction, a power he exercised to protect Aikou. This left eleven housemates – Chimsom Chuka, Sheba, Tram, Bells, Yusuf, Temi Nkem, Ricky, Bluethopia, Oyin, Flora and Keivo – facing possible eviction, while Barry and Aikou remain safe.
Aikou, now safe thanks to Barry’s decision, also emerged as the Most Influential Player of the Week, earning Biggie Bucks and a betPawa Spin prize that includes a microwave oven. With the finale fast approaching, the competition has entered its decisive phase, where every challenge, nomination and eviction could determine who makes it to the final stage of Nigeria’s flagship reality television series.
