A local security commander was killed by suspected armed bandits in Idofin‑Ayekale, Oke‑Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Thursday evening, according to a report by the Daily Post Nigeria.
The commander, identified as Agbeniga Taye, was defending residents during the attack when he was shot and died on the spot. His death has been described as the “supreme price” paid for protecting the community.
