Former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea striker Clive Allen has publicly backed Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane as the most likely recipient of the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Kane finished the 2025/26 season with more than 70 goals for club and country and helped Bayern win the Bundesliga title, making him one of the top favourites for the prestigious award.
“I believe Harry should win the Ballon d’Or, yes and purely because of what he has achieved,” Allen told the Press Association.
When you look at Ballon d’Or winners over the years, they have always been exceptional in what they have achieved.
Allen’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Kane as he competes for the world’s most coveted individual football prize.
