Alan Cumming, who is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday, admitted on SiriusXM that he does not fully understand the movie’s storyline.
During the interview, Cumming said,
“To be honest, I don’t fully understand the plot.”He added that Marvel had not permitted him to read the full screenplay before filming.
Even while shooting his scenes, the actor reported having “zero clarity on what was going on around” the production, a comment that surprised some fans who expected a more detailed briefing for a high‑profile franchise.
“Avengers: Doomsday” is the latest addition to Marvel’s cinematic universe, and Cumming is one of the returning actors from the earlier X‑Men films. The studio’s decision to withhold the full script has not been explained publicly.
