The Nigerian Army carried out a raid on a hideout used by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), recovering a range of firearms and ammunition.
During the operation, troops seized a general purpose machine gun, a G3 rifle and a magazine holding 15 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, among other weapons and gear.
The seizure is part of the army’s ongoing campaign to disrupt IPOB’s logistical networks in southeastern Nigeria.
IPOB, a separatist movement that has been active in the region, has been the focus of several security operations in recent months.
Authorities confirmed the raid was successful, with no reports of injuries or casualties.
