Air Peace has rejected a report from the NCAA that its August operations were delayed, saying the figures were inaccurate and that the airline’s performance was largely affected by external factors such as airport congestion, industrial action, bird strikes and other unforeseen circumstances.
The Nigerian carrier stated that the disruptions it experienced in August were not due to internal mismanagement but rather to a combination of external pressures that impacted flight schedules across the country.
Air Peace’s spokesperson highlighted that the airline had faced significant congestion at major airports, which compounded the effects of strikes by ground staff and the occasional bird strike incidents that forced temporary flight cancellations.
While the NCAA’s report suggested a broader pattern of delays, Air Peace pointed to data discrepancies in the agency’s analysis, asserting that the figures did not accurately reflect the airline’s operational realities.
