Moses Usor, the 24‑year‑old winger from Austrian side LASK, marked his first appearance for the Super Eagles with a goal in a 2‑1 win over Madagascar in Uyo on Friday night.
The match began with Madagascar taking the lead when Kari Eshan scored in the 16th minute, giving the Barea an early advantage. Nigeria responded just before the break, with Al‑Ittihad striker George Ilenikhena levelising the score.
In the 61st minute, Usor replaced Samuel Chukwueze and, four minutes later, netted the decisive goal that secured victory for the hosts.
After the final whistle, the 24‑year‑old posted a celebratory message on social media, expressing his excitement at scoring on his debut for the national side.
The match was part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with Nigeria already a three‑time continental champion.
