Bayelsa APC Dismisses Wike's Rainbow Coalition, Asserts Winning Structure
The Bayelsa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the Rainbow Coalition formed by Governor Nyesom Wike, stating that the party has a winning structure in place.
The statement comes in response to the recent conflict between Governor Wike and APC governors, who rejected the Rainbow Coalition proposal.

The APC governors, however, rejected the Rainbow Coalition proposal, citing concerns about potential internal conflicts.
"The APC governors have expressed reservations about the potential for internal conflicts within the coalition, which could weaken the opposition's chances in the upcoming elections," a source close to the APC told Premium Times Nigeria.
Governor Wike's Response
Governor Wike has not yet responded to the APC's rejection of the Rainbow Coalition.
"We are committed to the Rainbow Coalition and will continue to work towards a united opposition front in the 2027 election," a spokesperson for Wike said.
Bayelsa State Election Scene
The 2027 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State is expected to be a closely contested race between the APC and the Rainbow Coalition.
"The Bayelsa State election is a crucial contest, and the Rainbow Coalition aims to provide a united front against the APC," the spokesperson said.

The APC in Bayelsa State stands by its party structure and is confident in its ability to win the 2027 election.
"The Bayelsa APC remains resolute in our confidence to win the 2027 gubernatorial election, as we have a strong and united party structure in place," a Bayelsa APC source said.
