Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called on voters in Ekiti State to back President Bola Tinubu and the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections. He made the appeal during the APC presidential campaign rally in Ado‑Ekiti on Thursday.

The rally was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the party’s National Working Committee, governors and other stakeholders, who gathered to introduce the APC’s slate of candidates to the electorate.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda expressed satisfaction with the turnout, describing it as a demonstration of support for the party and its “Renewed Hope Agenda.” He said the event provided an opportunity to present the APC’s candidates for the presidency, the National Assembly and the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

“Tinubu is a performer and reformer,” Yilwatda said, adding that his administration had introduced policies aimed at repositioning the economy, strengthening public institutions and creating opportunities for Nigerians.

The chairman highlighted several achievements of the current administration, including tax reforms designed to protect low‑income earners and small businesses, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) which provides eligible beneficiaries with a monthly allowance of N20,000, and federal road projects linking Ado‑Ekiti with Akure that improve transportation and economic activity in the state.

Yilwatda urged Ekiti voters to elect APC candidates across all elective positions, particularly in the National Assembly and the state legislature, arguing that their presence would help implement the President’s development agenda. He called on party members and stakeholders in Ekiti to remain united and mobilised ahead of the elections.

Expressing confidence that the APC would consolidate its political strength in 2027, Yilwatda urged Nigerians to renew their support for Tinubu and the party.
