Stakeholders in Abia North, operating under the Alliance for Good Governance, have reaffirmed their support for Governor Alex Otti’s bid for a second term in 2027.
The Alliance for Good Governance is a coalition of local leaders, civic groups and business interests that has backed Otti since he first took office as governor of Abia State in 2023.
During a recent meeting in the state capital of Umuahia, members of the Alliance highlighted the importance of continuity for ongoing development projects and pledged to mobilise resources and community engagement to secure a win for Otti in the forthcoming election.
Otti’s supporters say that his administration’s achievements in infrastructure and education make a second term vital for the state’s progress, while opposition parties are already preparing their own campaigns for the 2027 gubernatorial contest.
