Reports in some media outlets claimed the players were set to “down tools” ahead of the match, but the NFF has called the story “absolute falsehood.” In a statement, the federation said the squad is heading to a final training session in preparation for tomorrow’s game.
“Reports in a section of the media that the Falconets are planning to boycott training is absolute falsehood. The girls are now heading to training for their last session before tomorrow’s match against Colombia,” the NFF said.
The Falconets secured a 3‑0 victory over England to reach the quarter‑finals, where they will face Colombia on Sunday at the Stadion Miejski LKS in Lodz.
With the match set for Sunday, the NFF’s statement comes as the team finalises its preparations for a decisive fixture that could see them advance to the semi‑finals of the tournament.
