In a post‑match interview, Nigeria’s U‑20 Women’s World Cup squad, known as the Falconets, were urged by head coach Moses Aduku to leave their recent 3‑0 victory over England behind and concentrate on the quarter‑final clash with Colombia in Lodz, Poland.

The 2026 FIFA U‑20 Women’s World Cup is currently being held in Lodz, and the Nigerian side will face Colombia on Sunday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2 pm Nigerian time.

After the win over England’s Young Lionesses, Aduku said the team’s celebration was cut short in the dressing room to refocus on the next challenge. “It will be unwise for us to keep thinking of the win over England. That match is gone and we already cut short our celebration immediately after in the dressing room to focus on the encounter with Colombia,” he told thenff.com.

“The Colombians sent out the host nation and will not be a walk‑in‑the‑park for us,” Aduku added.

With the quarter‑finals approaching, the Falconets aim to build on their Round of 16 success while preparing for a tough match against the Colombian side.
